Is gambling legal over the Internet ?
It is widely recognized that Internet gaming is an international issue. Some experts agree that even if anti-gaming nations pass laws against Internet gaming, the international character of the Internet makes it impossible to police on a global scale. Currently, users in the US, for example, may be deterred from wagering due to potential violations of 18 US Code 1084. It is best to contact your local or federal authorities regarding legality in specific jurisdictions.

If I am in the United States, what, if any, legal ramifications are there ?
One federal law having possible impact is 18 US Code 1084. It was enacted to discourage sports books from conducting business in the US, not to prosecute the consumer. This fact was recognized in one case, in which the government prosecuted a person placing bets with a sports book. The judge took the purpose of the law into account and held against the prosecutor because the bettor was not involved in the “sale of a product or service for a fee involving third parties,” i.e., customers and clients.

How can I be sure I will get paid when I win ?
VIPsports is a fully licensed sportsbook on the island of Curacao. The Parliament of Curacao has passed laws which regulate and tax Internet gaming operations. In VIPsports’s licensing agreement, VIPsports is required, by law, to maintain an escrow account with funds on deposit that exceed the amount of all active wagers. You can rest assured that your winnings will always be paid.

What is “the spread” ?
Odds makers need a way of making even bets possible. They assign a point advantage to a weaker team that is expected to lose by a certain number of points. If you bet on the stronger team, they need to win by more than the point advantage (covering the spread) in order for you to win. Half-point spreads are also possible and available for purchase.
What is “juice” ?
This is a slang term meaning the commission that you must pay if you bet against the spread. You must have a winning average of over 52.38% in order to come out ahead.

Teasers
VIPsports is proud to offer Teaser Bets. A Teaser, simply put, is a parlay like bet on 2 or more teams where the line on each team is adjusted in the favor of the bettor. Teasers are another very exciting way for the sports betting enthusiast to WIN VERY LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY WITH VERY LIMITED RISK!.
Like parlays, all teams wagered on in a teaser must win. The number of teams selected and the number of points selected determines the payout odds. If a selection in the teaser is a push, the teaser will drop to the next lower level, if a lower level is offered for that particular teaser. A push in a two team teaser without a loss will make the entire bet a push. When placing a wager a 3 team super teaser a push will result in a loss on the wager.
At VIPsports, you may include up to 8 Selections in your teasers. Because Teasers are strictly pointspread type bets, they are allowed only with football and basketball wagering.
These wagers can be placed very easily online or by telephone at VIPsports.

VIPsports offers a very large menu for Proposition and Exotic Wagering. More specifically, these wagers usually involve specific events and occurrences that happen throughout any given game. We have listed some examples for you below.

These include, but are not limited to, Sunday and Monday night NFL games, various NCAA Football games, major Bowl games, and many Playoff and Championship Basketball games. There are also many other miscellaneous events that Props and Exotics will be offered for. Examples and Definitions of Common Props/Exotics
Which team will be the first to score?

Will either team score in the first X minutes and XX seconds of the game?

Will either team score in the last 2 minutes of the first half?

Will the total fumbles lost by both teams be over or under X?
Will the total points scored by a team be over or under X?

Parlays (also known as Multiples or Combos)
VIPsports is proud to offer the most comprehensive Parlay selection available today. Parlays, also known as Multiples or Combos, are a very exciting way for the sports betting enthusiast to
WIN VERY LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY WITH VERY LIMITED RISK!.
Simply put, a parlay is a bet of 2 or more teams (selections) or propositions in no particular order. All teams wagered on in a parlay must win. If there is a tie, it reverts down to the next lowest number for payoff. For 2 team parlays, a tie and win becomes a straight bet payout.
At VIPsports, you may include up to 12 Selections in your parlays, all sports included. This means that you can make one parlay card with a combination of all your favorite sports! These wagers can be placed very easily online or by telephone at VIPsports.
Please Note : No parlay bets will be accepted where individual "selections" are connected. For example, one leg of a parlay is for Sampras to beat Henman in the 4th round of Wimbledon and the second or additional part of the parlay is for Sampras to win the overall Wimbledon title. The match forms part of the overall tournament and is therefore ‘connected’. In the same way, you cannot parlay the over of the first half of a football game with the over of the total game, because the two are ‘connected’

Football and Basketball Parlay Payoffs

 Selections  Payout Odds
 2  13 to 5
 3  6 to 1
 4  11.5 to 1
 5  22 to 1
 6  40 to 1
 7  80 to 1
 8  150 to 1
 9  300 to 1
 10  500 to 1
 11  1000 to 1
 12  2000 to 1

Baseball (moneyline) Parlay Payoffs
Because of the moneyline used in baseball, there are no set payoffs for tying a number of teams together in parlays. Payoffs are determined by a simple formula that changes the moneyline into a decimal number and combines it with the other lines in the parlay. The first step is to change the moneyline into a decimal value. Use the chart below for this purpose.
Values are equivalent to one dollar.

-1.05  = .95    -1.85 = .54

-1.10 = .91     -1.90 = .53

-1.15 = .87     -1.95 = .51

-1.20 = .83     -2.00 = .50

-1.25 = .80     -2.10 = .48

-1.30 = .77     -2.20 = .45

-1.35 = .74     -2.30 = .43

-1.40 = .71     -2.40 = .42

-1.45 = .69     -2.50 = .40

-1.50 = .66     -2.60 = .38

-1.55 = .64     -2.70 = .37

-1.60 = .62     -2.80 = .36

-1.65 = .61     -3.00 = .33

-1.70 = .59     -3.25 = .31

-1.75 = .57     -3.50 = .29

-1.80 = .55     -4.00 = .25

How to Figure Baseball Parlays
For each price or odds quote on your teams, look at their respective payoffs (to $1) and always add $1 to these payoffs.
Multiply your bet times the products of these payoffs (+$1) for your parlay return.
Example :
A Player bet $50 on the Cardinals (-150) parlayed to the Tigers (-130)

 Bet  Cardinals  Tigers  Return
   (-150)  (-130)
 Return
 $50                                     X  1.67                                   X  1.77                                    =  $147.80
The return includes the $50 bet.
Use the same method for any number of teams.
Example :

 Bet  Cubs  Reds  Mets  Return
   (+120)
 (-135) (Even)
 Return
 $75                X 2.20                      X  1.74                 X  2.00                        =  $574.20
(1.00 + 1.20)
 (1.00 + .74) (1.00 + 1.00)
 $574.20
The return includes the $75 bet.
Remember to always add $1 to the payoff price to figure all parlays.
Please Note : All Baseball Side Parlays are "action." Run Line & Total selections within your parlay will be voided should there be a pitching change. Round Robin Parlays
VIPsports is proud to offer Round Robin parlays. A Round Robin is simply a nickname for parlay wagering on a group of selections (at least three or more) that are to be included in a combination of individual parlays. These wagers can be placed very easily at VIPsports, online or by telephone.
For instance, if a player asked for a $100, three-team Round Robin with teams A, B, and C, he/she is simply requesting a two-team parlay with teams A and B, another parlay with teams A and C, and another with teams B and C, for a total of 3 individual parlays, each for $100. The total amount risked would be $300.
Round Robins get more complex as the number of teams increases. A four-team Round Robin "by twos" for $100 would mean that the bettor wants four teams to be included in a combination of two-team parlays. This would be a total of six individual two-team parlays, for a total risk of $600. If the request is for a Round Robin "by threes", it would include a total of four possible combinations, for a risk of $400.
Example
A player requests a $100 four team Round Robin "by twos", with teams A, B, C and D. The possible combinations would be as follows:
Teams AB $100 to win $260
Teams AC $100 to win $260
Teams AD $100 to win $260
Teams BC $100 to win $260
Teams BD $100 to win $260
Teams CD $100 to win $260
If all four teams win, the player wins $1240, while risking only $600! If one game loses, there is still a profit, even though three of the parlays would lose. The three winners get back $780, plus the $100 laid for each parlay, for a total of $1080. After subtracting $300 for the 3 losers, the player profits $480!
Just like in our standard parlays, selections from every league and sport can be included!
Please Note : The maximum parley payoff for any one parlay wager shall be $50,000, whatever the stake, or theoretical payout displayed elsewhere on the VIPsports system.

If Bets
An If Bet allows you to increase your betting power and limit your risk by placing multiple bets on one betting ticket; each individual bet after the first bet will only have action if the previous bet in the sequence is successful.
An If Bet is also useful if you want to make more than one bet, but do not have adequate funds in your account to cover the second bet unless the first bet wins. An If Bet will place the second bet immediately upon success of the first bet. If Bet rules are as follows:
One If Bet can contain two to seven individual bets.
If Bets must be made prior to the start time of the earliest event.
Bets must be made in the order of each event’s start time
The first bet amount may not exceed the normal house limits.
OAdditional bets in the sequence may be any amount, not exceeding the amount of the original bet plus any winnings from preceding bets.
The first bet is always placed unless it is considered a no action event.
All If Bets at VIPsports are If Win. This means that the first bet is always placed unless it is considered a no action event.
Each subsequent bet is placed only if the previous bet wins.
If any bet in the If Win series loses, ties or is considered no action, then all subsequent bets on the betting ticket are considered no action.

Future Book Wagers
VIPsports is proud to offer Future Book Wagers. A “futures” wager is a bet placed on an event that is scheduled to occur at some future date. For instance, prior to the beginning of the regular season for each major sport, odds will be established for each team to win their individual division, conference and seasonal championship. Another type of “future” wager that has become extremely popular is the over/under wager for the total number of victories for the entire season for a given team.
Other “future” wagering propositions that are offered at VIPsports include major Horse Races, such as the three “Triple Crown” races, which are The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness, and The Belmont Stakes. Major golf tournaments such as The Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship and The British Open. Tennis Championships like the Wimbledon Tournament, The French, Australian, and U.S. Opens. Auto races like the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500. And last, but definitely not least, blockbuster events like the Super Bowl each year, or the Olympics every 4 years. VIPsports offers “future” wagers on many more events as well. If you have a favorite event that you don’t find odds on, please contact us directly, and we will make a line for you!
It is possible for a “future” bet to become a winner prior to the end of the regular season. However when the bet is conditional on a certain number of games being played, the wager must wait until those games have been played before the bet is graded.

Golf, Tennis or Auto Racing Top 3 Pullout Rule
If any of the 3 lowest priced players or drivers pullout of any tournament or race before it starts, we reserve the right to adjust any or all prices of remaining players or drivers after the wagers have been accepted.
